Our submission of the formal planning application represents a major milestone for the whole project, and we are delighted to have met and sought the views of so many local people as part of our extensive consultation exercise. I want to thank everyone who took part, provided feedback, and played a role in bringing this final proposal to fruition.

“Our ambition has always been to be a good neighbour to adjacent communities, and indeed the whole population of North Ayrshire - our project will represent a major investment in the local economy, providing significant community benefits and will provide the clean, green energy we need for the future.

The plans can be viewed at Cunninghame House in Irvine, as well as public libraries in West Kilbride, Dalry, Millport, Largs, Fairlie and Ardrossan. The planning application submitted is open for consultation until 21st March.

If approved by the Scottish Government’s Energy Consents Unit (ECU), the development is expected to be constructed in time to meet its grid connection offer for August 2030.
